AISB 2016 Hosted by Sheffield Robotics

Sheffield Robotics has announced that it will be hosting the 2016 AISB Convention.

The AISB Convention is an annual conference covering the range of AI and Cognitive Science, organised by the Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and Simulation of Behaviour. The 2016 Convention will be held at the University of Sheffield, UK, from 4-6th April 2016, in the prestigious new Diamond building, an £81m facility for Engineering at The University of Sheffield.

Daniela Romano (Department of Computer Science) and Tony Prescott (Department of Psychology) are the 2016 conference chairs, and a call for symposium proposals has now been issued (LINK).  Details of the event can be found HERE.

Sheffield drives forward robotics research as part of new UK network

Experts at Sheffield Robotics are set to take a key role in driving forward the UK’s robotics research, thanks to the launch of the EPSRC UK Robotics and Autonomous Systems Network (UK-RAS Network).

The Network will bring together the UK’s core academic capabilities in robotics innovation under national coordination for the first time and encourage academic and industry collaborations that will accelerate the development and adoption of robotics and autonomous systems.
