About the event
We are pleased to announce the launch of the N8 Robotics and Autonomous Systems Student Network, taking place at The University of Sheffield.
The N8 Research Partnership is a collaboration between the universities of Durham, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, and York, highlighting the research excellence in the North of England. Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) has been recognised as one of the priority areas for the UK’s economic growth and the N8 universities are already engaged in leading research in this area. As such, we would like to invite PhD students from all N8 universities to join us for the official launch of the N8-RAS Student Network.
This event will offer a friendly environment for early-career researchers to present their work, get to know researchers in other universities, understand more about the context of their own research and potentially meet their next collaborator or employer.
Call for posters
We are still accepting submissions for poster presentations which will be displayed during the event. In addition to those, a few students will also have the chance to give a short oral presentation in the Pecha Kucha 20×20 format alongside talks from invited speakers. This is a great opportunity for researchers at all stages of their academic career to practice presenting their work and engage with potential collaborators. We encourage all PhD students to present their research, regardless of whether they have published work or not.
You can submit an abstract of your poster by filling out this form.
The NEW deadline for submitting an abstract is 7 September 2017.
A more detailed programme will be released soon.
